Treatable Cancers


Some of the typical cancers that can be treated with proton therapy are as follows.

Head and neck tumors 16-37 times / 3.2-8 weeks
Non-small cell lung cancer 10-35 times / 2-7 weeks
Hepatoma 10-22 times / 2-4.4 weeks
Prostate cancer 12 times / 3 weeks
Postoperative relapse of rectal cancer 37 times / 7.4 weeks
20 times / 5 weeks
Pediatric tumors 20-30 times / 5-6 weeks

  • Suitability is restricted by the size and stage of the cancer and the overall physical condition of the patient.
  • Treatment is advancing all around the world, and we expect more cancers to be treatable in the future.
  • Cancers that affect the entire body, such as leukemia or malignant lymphoma, as well as ones like stomach cancer, cannot be treated
  • with proton therapy.
