Nagoya City University Midori Municipal Hospital

Nagoya City University Midori Municipal Hospital

Established in 1945 as the former Aichi Narumi National Health
Insurance Association Clinic, this facility served as a core community
hospital in the southern region of Nagoya City. In 1963, the name
was changed to Nagoya Municipal Midori Municipal Hospital when
Nagoya City merged with the town of Narumi. As the population
rapidly increased, the south building was expanded and the main
building was completely renovated, and hospital beds were added to
cope with the increase in patients. Furthermore, under a two-year
plan starting in 1996, the North Wing was expanded to improve the
medical care system. Later, in 2012, a designated administrator
system was introduced. After an 11-year designated management
period, in April 2023, the facility started operations as the NCU
Medical School Midori Municipal Hospital.
While taking over the medical care services of its predecessor Nagoya City Midori Municipal Hospital, as a community-based
university hospital, we will strive to provide medical care that meets the needs of society by providing safe and advanced community
medical care. In addition to providing treatment for various diseases, including initial response to emergencies, we will also promote the
health of local residents through preventive medicine.
